Primary Election Guide

The Election Guide for the 2024 Primary Election is now available online! The Guide contains key information about when, where, and how you can cast your ballot in the August 20 Primary Election. It also contains generic sample ballots in English and Spanish. 

You can expect to receive a copy of the guide in the mail at the beginning of August.

Sample Ballots Available

Sample ballots for the Primary Election are available! Use the Voter Information Lookup to view your sample ballot and see exactly what candidates and contests will be on your ballot. You can also view a list of all sample ballots here.


Voter Registration Deadline

The deadline to register to vote in time for the Primary Election is July 22. This is also the deadline to change your party affiliation for the Primary.

You can register to vote online by visiting RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov, Florida's online voter registration system. Learn more by visiting our Voter Registration page.


Already Registered in Florida?

If you are already registered to vote in Florida, it's important that you double-check your voter registration record to make sure it is up to date. You can find your voter registration record using our online voter information lookup.

Want to Vote-by-Mail?

All voters in Florida have the option to Vote-by-Mail in each election. If you want to Vote-by-Mail, then you need to request your ballot. You can request your ballot online through our Mail Ballot Request Service. The deadline to request a mail ballot for the Primary Election is August 8. 

You can check your mail ballot's status through BallotTrax. Also with BallotTrax you can receive email or text notifications when your ballot is mailed, when we receive it, and when we count it.
